How the hours actually work

The mechanics, plainly stated — no fine print you have to go looking for.

Retainer hours reset monthly

Your included hours (6 or 30, depending on tier) refresh at the start of each billing month. They don't carry over, so the scope stays predictable for both of us — no surprise backlog, no surprise bill.

Going over is simple

If a month runs long, extra hours bill at the standard $110/hr rate. You'll hear about it before it happens, not after — part of the weekly updates every engagement gets.

Switching tiers is normal

Start hourly, move to a retainer once you know what ongoing support looks like — or scale a retainer up or down as your needs change. No penalty, no re-signing a contract from scratch.

A worked example

Say a 12-person team needs a one-time cleanup (duplicate accounts, a messy product catalog) and then wants someone keeping an eye on things going forward.

Phase one is usually hourly or a short fixed-scope project — we'd estimate the cleanup itself, you'd see the number before work starts, and you're not locked into anything beyond that project.

Phase two, once the foundation is clean, is where a retainer makes sense. For a team that size — checking in occasionally, wanting a few fixes and a monthly report — you'd usually land in the Starter tier: 6 hours covers routine upkeep without the gap between "we don't need an admin" and "we need someone dedicated full-time."

Teams who want us handling most of their Salesforce work — new automations, reporting changes, Agentforce builds, day-to-day questions — are usually a better fit for Full-Scope, which is priced to still come in well under the cost of a full-time hire.

Why retainer pricing is lower per hour

Retainer discounts reflect the value of predictable, committed work — not a discount on expertise. Rates increase, not decrease, for urgent or rush work outside a committed retainer. Every engagement, at every tier, is founder-led: the person who scopes your project is the person who does the work.
